Prayagraj is a city located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This city is considered a very religious place for Hindus as it is here where the holy rivers, Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet, creating the Triveni Sangam. Many Hindu scriptures have cited Prayagraj as a holy place not just for Hindus, but for all of mankind.

With the blessings and guidance of Shri Swaminarayan Bhagwan and Shri Acharya Maharajshree 1008 Koshalendraprasadji Maharaj, the Swaminarayan Temple located in Prayagraj serves as a beautiful and peaceful place for people to come and pray.

Prayagraj is famous in Hindu religion for its Triveni Sangam, the union of the three holy rivers. Similarly, it is famous in the Swaminarayan sect as this is the place where Bhagwan Swaminarayan's parents - Dharmadev and Bhaktimata - first met with Uddhav avtaar Shri Ramanand Swami. Furthermore, this is where Dharmadev and Bhaktimata took 'Bhagwati Diksha' from Ramanand Swami and took 'kantthi' and 'guru mantra' from him. Hence, Prayagraj serves as the foundation of Swaminarayan Sampraday's Guru Parampara.
